The Laguiole knife has been crafted in France for over 200 years. The Laguiole (pronounced Layol) originated as a folding pocket herdsman's knife and is a blend of Spanish and French craft influences, with its popularity rising in the late 20th century. A table knife was then developed, handmade by craftsmen whose skills have been passed from generation to generation. Distinguished by the gentle curve of the razor-sharp stainless-steel blade and contoured handle, each piece is still crafted according to strict guidelines that were handed down to the local guild by the French Crown. 100% Made in France.
