Made by artisans in remote South Pacific villages, it is woven from “vignes d’eau” (water vines) that grow in mountain jungles. Sustainably harvested, these fine vines grow back quickly after reaping, ensuring no damage to native forests. At just one-fourth the thickness of rattan, each piece takes 1–5 days to hand-weave, resulting in a durable, heat-resistant, and refined product.
