Reflections on Kevin’s 9th Annual Game Fair

A Heartfelt Thank You!

The 9th Annual Kevin’s Game Fair was nothing short of extraordinary. As guests traveled from all over the United States to join us in the Red Hills, we were reminded once again why this event has become such a cherished tradition. Your enthusiasm, support, and love for the sporting life made this year’s Game Fair our most memorable yet, and we are deeply grateful.

A Celebration of Community, Craftsmanship & Conservation

From the moment the gates opened, the day was filled with energy and excitement. Our remarkable vendors and sponsors created beautiful displays that brought the sporting lifestyle to life in ways that inspired our guests. Thank you for your creativity, your dedication, and your commitment to excellence, you help make this event truly special, year after year.

Guests enjoyed riding through the quail woods on the Tall Timbers wagon tour, trying out electric bikes, exploring the INEOS Grenadiers, riding the quail wagon pulled by Clydesdales, and experiencing the Ultimate Top Drives.

The Youth Field Trial Alliance captivated a crowd with an impressive demonstration by talented young handlers whose skill and sportsmanship showed their passion begins early and their commitment to field trials.

We were honored to host a Fox & Hound Demonstration from Live Oak Hounds, complemented by a beautiful and fascinating historical and contemporary discussion led by Dr. John Reynolds. His insights into the heritage of the sport and its evolution captivated guests and is one of the presentations Game Fair guests look forward to every year.

The dog demonstrations by Ryglen Gun Dogs and Southern Oak Kennels were major highlights of the day, engaging, educational, and unforgettable. Their dogs showcased the very best of training, instinct, and the timeless bond between hunter and dog.

Our floral workshop brought a creative and elegant touch to the event, offering guests the chance to create stunning arrangements in a fun, hands-on environment. It quickly became one of the weekend’s most popular experiences.

Food, Refreshments & Special Treats Throughout the Event

Throughout the Game Fair weekend, guests enjoyed a variety of exceptional culinary experiences and refreshments:

  • Quail Covey Coffee kept everyone energized with the most delicious coffee, fueling guests so they could enjoy every moment of the event.

  • Chappellet, a 60 year old winery in Napa joined us this year to support our wine collaboration benefiting Tall Timbers. What a wonderful treat to enjoy their delicious signature cabernet while taking in the event. The collaboration collection of three bottles of Cabernet is still available at https://chappellet.com/kevins-outdoor/

  • Our Guests always look forward to visiting with Jeff Parrot & his team from Blade & Bow as they serve their delicious bourbon and bourbon cocktails that pay homage to the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Blade & Bow Bourbon, is always a treat that elevates the Game Fair experience.

  • Lunch, catered by Jeanie Bracey and Alan Poppell, was delicious and the spread was beautiful displayed!

  • Drake & Barrel Cigars enjoyed throughout the weekend, added a refined and relaxing atmosphere to the festivities.

  • A huge thank you to Big Red and Soco Smokehouse, who grilled mouthwatering bar-b-que all day. Their incredible dishes kept guests coming back for more.

  • Blue Bell Ice Cream delighted everyone with their classic and beloved scoops. No Game Fair would be complete without them.

  • Hubs & Hops brought their signature charm once again with delicious beer, great music, and electric bikes. Their presence is always a big addition to the Game Fair, as well as a vibrant spirit of downtown Thomasville.

A Magical Evening at Pebble Hill

Hosting the cocktail party at the Sugar Hill Barn at Pebble Hill Plantation brought a wonderful new dimension to the weekend, with stunning Velocity Restorations’ beautiful vintage vehicle display and Ineos Grenadiers lining the parking area. The rustic charm of the venue and delicious food and cocktails, paired with the camaraderie of the sporting community, created an evening filled with warmth, conversation, and celebration. We’ve heard from so many attendees just how much they loved this setting, and we couldn’t agree more. Cheers to Lane Crider and his beautiful display of Ineos Grenadiers, especially, the beautiful one with “Kathleen’s” on the side 😊

The Red Hills Farm to Table Dinner

The Farm to Table Dinner was both beautiful and meaningful. Held on the Ausley family’s stunning property, Mistletoe, the evening featured exceptional cuisine coordinated by Courtney Atkinson and prepared by Chef Eric, who crafted a meal that was every bit as delicious as it was elegant. Thank you to the Ausley family for opening your home and creating a setting that guests will talk about for years to come. Mistletoe is available through Air B&B for lodging while in the Red Hills.

Shooting Demonstration With Our Gun & Optic Vendors

Saturday’s Shooting Demonstration was a huge highlight of the weekend and an incredible opportunity for guests to test firearms, learn from experts, and spend meaningful time with representatives from some of the most respected brands in the industry. Attendees enjoyed hands-on shooting and one-on-one conversations with specialists from:

  • Kevin’s

  • Holland & Holland

  • Beretta

  • Caesar Guerini

  • Syren Guns

  • Christensen Arms

  • Chapuis Arms

  • Benelli

  • Beesley

  • Gunwerks

It was a fantastic opportunity for guests to demo a wide range of firearms and optics, from upland and waterfowl shotguns to precision rifles, while learning about the newest technologies, models, and craftsmanship. The atmosphere was enthusiastic and hands-on, and we’ve heard from many attendees how valuable and enjoyable this experience was.

Together, We Made a Difference

Thanks to your generosity and support, the 2025 Game Fair raised $120,000 for Tall Timbers’ Wild Quail Program. This critical funding will advance research, habitat management, and conservation efforts essential to sustaining wild bobwhite quail across the Southeast. Every ticket purchased, every vendor who participated, every sponsor who stepped forward, your contributions directly impact the future of wild quail and the landscapes we cherish.

With Gratitude

To our sponsors, vendors, partners, guests, staff, and volunteers—thank you. Your passion for the sporting life, preserving the sport, and commitment to conservation make the Game Fair a celebration unlike any other. We are honored to host this event each year and even more honored to share it with such an extraordinary community.
